Honor Society

The Department of Counseling has organized its own chapter, THETA CHI, as a branch of Chi Sigma Iota, the national honor society for counselors and counselor educators. Students must have completed at least 15 semester graduate hours in counseling with an overall scholastic average of 3.5 or better while enrolled in the program.

Disabled Resource Center

Students with a broad range of disabling conditions may find the resources at Disabled Resource Center useful. Services are provided to students with both temporary and permanent disabilities. Resources include: readers, interpreters, equipment loan, on-campus transportation, and priority registration. For more information students should contact Disabled Resource Center at phone icon 1.415.338.2472.

Counseling Student Association

The Counseling Student Association, a student-led group, is an organization of students who are involved in their own education and work with the faculty to enhance the program and their training experiences. The CSA sends representatives to departmental faculty and committee meetings, conducts workshops and professional convocations, and organizes social activities for the students. CSA also coordinates the Department of Counseling's graduation ceremony.

Dates, times, and locations of meetings and events will be posted on the CSA information bulletin board (outside BH 524) or on their website.

Current Department of Counseling students are encouraged to be active in CSA, and use the programs and structure of CSA to facilitate your learning and experience in the program.
