College Counseling Alumni Present at the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education

College counselors at Skyline College and San Mateo Community College (alumni of DoC College Counseling graduate program) presented at the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education. The presentation, "Loyal to the Soil: Re-Harvesting our BIPOC/Men of Color Narratives in Educational S.P.A.C.E.S." featured Dr. Nate Nevado, Manuel Verdin, Warren Shelby, Albin Lee, Joseph Jaballa, Andy Gomez, Dionicio Garcia, Manuel Delgado, (also shown, Matthew Embry, DoC student). Their session shared culturally responsive programming fostering sense of belonging, validation of students experiences, and building authentic connections for men of color.
