Jesus Solorio, LMFT (uma/el/he/him) is a bilingual/bicultural Xicano who was born and raised in Los Angeles by migrant parents from Michoacán, Mexico. His clinical work is trauma informed, strength-based and is infused withindigenous worldview. His interests include indigenous and cultural healing practices, cultural identity development, client-centered approaches, liberation psychology, narrative therapy and community-defined praxis. He received his Masters degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Community Mental Health in 2012 from the California Institute of Integral Studies. He currently works at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland as a therapist, supervisor and is the Lead Clinician for La Clinica Program, a mental health program centering culturally-responsive, bilingual care for Latinx clients and support for their providers within Kaiser. Jesus has worked in various community mental health agencies as therapist, supervisor and program manager.
