Kate Zuby, M.S., is an assistant professor in the Department of Counseling teaching Career Counseling. She is also a proud two-time San Francisco State University alumnus, having graduated from SFSU with her B.A. in Early Childhood Education in 2010, then later with her M.S. in College Counseling in 2017. She started her professional career working in the Undergraduate Advising Center at SFSU prior to joining UC Berkeley as a Career Counselor for Counseling & Psychological Services in 2018. Since then she has been working with students, alumni, and community members to provide career exploration support for individuals struggling with career indecision.

Kate has ~8 years of experience working in various educational settings as an undergraduate advisor, program coordinator, and career counselor providing one-on-one assistance and resources to individuals seeking career services. She is committed to working with diverse populations of students, staff, and community members to assist the individuals in finding fulfilling career paths. Kate is excited to transfer her experience and knowledge to her role as instructor here at SFSU.
